Set Fly Fishing Golden Dorado Combo – March 28 to April 4, 2026
Two Backcountry Camps in the Iberá Wetlands + Trophy Fishing on the Upper Paraná River
If you’ve ever dreamed of chasing Golden Dorado in their most iconic environments, this hosted trip blends the best of northern Argentina: two wilderness camps deep inside the Iberá Wetlands and a trophy-focused finale at Itatí Lodge on the Upper Paraná River.
We begin the adventure with a comfortable first night at La Alondra Lodge, located just outside the wetlands, before pushing deeper into remote channels and marsh lagoons. The final stretch of the trip transitions to Itatí Lodge, where anglers hunt for trophy-size Golden Dorado in clear, powerful, technical water.
This is a trip built for anglers who want variety, adventure, comfort, and the best South American Dorado experience in a single week.
Trip Rate
$7,000 per angler (double occupancy, shared guide & boat)
50% deposit required to confirm. Balance due 90 days prior.
Why This Trip Is Unique
Night 1 – La Alondra Lodge (Outside Iberá Wetlands)
A boutique, comfortable estancia-style lodge.
The perfect place to decompress, share a meal, enjoy a glass of wine.
Nights 2 & 3 – Backcountry Camps in the Iberá Wetlands
Two wilderness camps in two totally different zones:
Night 2- South Camp
Night 3- North Camp
Each camp unlocks a different sector of the wetlands — small creeks, hidden lagoons, marsh channels, and areas only reachable by SET Fly Fishing.
These are remote, quiet, immersive fishing environments surrounded by wildlife and endless marsh
Final Nights – Itatí Lodge on the Upper Paraná River
This is where the trophy hunt begins.
The Upper Paraná is known for:
Trophy-size Golden Dorado
Powerful, emerald-green water
Sight-fishing over sandbars and rock shelves
Fewer but higher-quality shots
Challenging, technical casting and presentation
It’s the most advanced and rewarding section of the entire trip.

Why You Want to Come on This Trip With Me
Traveling internationally for a fishing adventure can feel overwhelming — flights, transfers, connections, gear, logistics, language barriers, and timing. That’s exactly why I’m hosting this trip.
I create a comfortable, fun, low-stress vibe.
My goal is for everyone to feel taken care of from the moment we meet until the trip is finished. No egos, no pressure — just a great crew, good energy, and incredible fishing.
My goal is for everyone to feel taken care of from the moment we meet until the trip is finished. No egos, no pressure — just a great crew, good energy, and incredible fishing.
I help manage all the small travel details.
Need help navigating airport transfers in Buenos Aires?
Questions about domestic flights?
Not sure how to pack gear for two different fisheries?
I’m there to walk through all of that so nothing feels stressful.
I bring extra gear — especially for barring (barbless) and backup situations.
I always travel with extra:
Fly lines
Leaders & tippet
Dorado-ready flies
Hand tools
Terminal tackle
Spare rods & reels (where possible)
If something breaks, fails, or gets lost, I can get you back on the water quickly.
I can help fix your setup on the fly.
Whether it’s:
A blown line
A rod issue
Reel maintenance
Casting help
Knots, rigging, or leader setups
Fly selection
Daily adjustments for each type of water
I’ve fished around the world — jungle, saltwater, trout, technical rivers, lakes — and I’m there to make sure you fish confidently and effectively all week.
I know fly fishing and I love teaching.
If you’re a newer angler, intermediate, or advanced, I adapt to your pace.
If you’ve never chased Dorado, I’ll help
